Circle Day 2025: My Biggest Takeaways

This year, I had the absolute privilege of flying to New York to attend Squarespace Circle Day 2025, right on my birthday, which already felt like the universe sending me a big sign that I was in the right place. Circle Day is a one-day event where designers, developers, and creatives come together to share knowledge, connect, and get a sneak peek at the future of Squarespace. And wow, there is a lot to be excited about.

Let me take you behind the scenes and share the highlights, the new tools coming our way, and a few golden nuggets of wisdom I brought home.

Big Picture Wins

Squarespace shared some incredible numbers that happened this year:

  • 90K new clients

  • 3M appointments made through Squarespace

  • 400M emails sent

  • 500M+ dollars earned (US)

These aren’t just stats, they show how powerful Squarespace has become as a platform for businesses of all sizes, and these numbers keep growing.

A New Dashboard Experience

For Circle members and designers, the dashboard has had a major glow-up. Now we can open everything in one place, track payments and movements, and see what’s happening in real time. It’s not something every user will see, but for those of us designing and managing client sites, this is a huge step forward.

The Pro Tool Everyone’s Talking About

Another highlight was the new Pro Tool, available for Circle members. It allows you to add animations, bring in new fonts in a much easier way without having to add coding, stack elements, work with layers, and even change flows from vertical to horizontal. It gives designers so much more power to create unique, stand-out websites without relying on complicated custom code. You can check all this up on their website.

SEO, Analytics, and Beacon AI

SEO got a major spotlight this year. The Local SEO Extension by SEOSpace will help businesses outrank local competitors in Maps and search results. That’s a big win for small businesses wanting to show up where their customers are searching.

Then came Beacon AI, a new tool packed with advanced analytics, SEO scoring, and visibility insights. It’s live on the homepage and it’s seriously impressive. With the AIO Scanner by Beacon, you can see exactly how your site ranks, what’s working, what needs improvement, and even generate FAQs automatically. I’ll definitely be diving deeper into this for future client audits.

Words of Wisdom

Circle Day wasn’t just about tools and features; it was also about hearing from designers who’ve been designing for years!. These are two quotes that stuck with me:

  • "Your next project is hiding in the one you are working on." - Aaron Soto

  • "Imposter syndrome is a sign of growth." - Jack Chitty

And a practical gem: designing in phases is a smart way to approach bigger websites. Sometimes the best work isn’t about doing everything at once, but breaking it down so it’s sustainable for both designer and client. Hearing this aligns so well with my one-page website package. It shows that the way I work is right in step with how some of the biggest designers approach projects..

Community and Inspiration

I loved meeting the panel, Kristine Neil, Risha Chesterfield, Aaron Soto, and Christy Price, all sharing their tools, templates, and wisdom. And of course, Circle Day wouldn’t be complete without connecting with designers from all over the world.

Circleday2025

One of my favorite parts of the day was realizing that the people we often see on YouTube, listen to on podcasts, and look up to as these almost unreachable experts are, in person, the sweetest and most down-to-earth people. They were genuinely caring, excited to meet everyone, and open to connecting no matter how far along you are in your career. That sense of community and encouragement is something I’ll carry with me long after the event.

Final Thoughts

Squarespace is evolving into a true all-in-one integrated platform, and Circle Day 2025 made that crystal clear. From new design flexibility with the Pro Tool, to SEO breakthroughs with Beacon AI, to tools that give deeper insights into performance, the future of web design on Squarespace looks brighter than ever.

I came home buzzing with ideas and inspiration, ready to put these new tools to work for my clients. And trust me, this is just the beginning.
